The Milan Special School District Board of Education will be employing a new Director
of Schools. A key part of this process is receiving feedback from district stakeholders.
You are invited to participate in an online survey designed to determine your views about
the issues and challenges facing our school system and Director. We want everyone to have an opportunity to be heard and are especially interested in
hearing your concerns. Your comments will help us determine the criteria to be used in
selecting our new Director of Schools.
The selection of our next Director of Schools is very important to us all, and we look

At Monday night's school board meeting, the Milan Special School District revised the attendance policy. Moving forward, students may submit up to 3 parent notes per school year, and a maximum of 7 excused medical absences will be accepted annually.

📣 Exciting news, Milan! The Milan Special School District board has approved updates to the dress code for the 2024-2025 school year. Students are now permitted to wear solid color pants (excluding neon) in any fabric, as long as they meet appropriate length requirements. Please note sweatpants, cargo, yoga, and tights/ leggings are still not allowed. Clothing must still be knee length, free of rips or tears, and not form fitting.
