The School Safety Department manages the daily safety and security operations for Milan Special School District. Our security personnel are part of the education support staff and are trained to engage directly with students to address and prevent safety issues within our schools. District safety administrators work in close collaboration with school security officers, School Resource Officers (SROs), and school staff to maintain a secure learning environment.

In partnership with the Milan Police Department, each school within the Milan Special School District has an SRO on campus to ensure ongoing safety and security.

In the event of a school emergency, communication will be promptly sent to families through text messages, emails, and automated phone calls.
