Black History Spotlight: Robert Hodge

February is CTE Month. Today we are spotlighting a few of the programs at MHS.
JAG-TN-Jobs for American Graduates
It is the workforce development program for Tennessee.
Whether students go directly into the workforce or go to Post-Secondary institutions for education and training, JAGTN give them the skills needed to be mature, long-term employees, who are ready and willing to enter the work place. Students spend time building confidence in resume writing, job interview skills, and conflict resolution skills. The class is taught by Lynn Doles at MHS.
Teaching as Profession
In the 2023-2024 school year, there were 17 students who earned TECTA, and in 2024-2025, we have had 11 students earn TECTA-TN Early Childhood Training Alliance certificate. We anticipate that we will have 2 students earn the Child Development Associate (CDA) this year. Kathryn Bryowsky is the teacher for the Teaching as a Profession classes at Milan High School.

February is Career Technical Education (CTE) month. CTE programs provide students with numerous opportunities to improve the quality of their education and increase the skills necessary for career readiness and future success. A special thanks to our CTE Department at MHS.
